I left the room for a minute to clean something up, and this is what I found when I came back.
Normally, I might think that he just fell asleep, but look closely at his plate. Notice that the quesadilla is nearly gone, but every one of the green beans is still whole and intact. I immediately thought of the time that I didn't want to eat my vegetables at dinner. My dad made me stay at the table until I finished. So, after everyone left the room, I waited a few minutes, then put my head down on the table and pretended to be asleep. My dad returned shortly and carried me to my bed. Of course, I had to continue "sleeping" to keep up the facade which meant that went to bed a couple of hours early that night. A small price to pay for a belly empty of whatever green mush my mother had created that night.
Could Canon be playing the same trick that I once played as a child?!? Isn't he too young to know these things? We'll see how long that "nap" really lasts!
